Fran Troxler - Owner/Managing Broker
Fran began her real estate career in Wears Valley in 2000, shortly after moving to Tennessee from Jacksonville, Florida, with her husband David and their five children.
She had learned all about Wears Valley and Sevier County by participating in the U.S. Census, and her newly-gained knowledge of the area coupled with her great love of the Smoky Mountains provided her with the opportunity to share her enthusiasm for the area with like-minded people wishing to also have a little part of the Tennessee Mountains.
After being a top agent in another real estate company for over six years, Fran decided to partner with Jerry Sandifer in creating East Tennessee Realty Group and Great Cabins in the Smokies Rentals. Both Fran and Jerry have a sincere desire to share their little piece of “Hillbilly Heaven” with others who have discovered the beautiful Smoky Mountains.
“I love meeting people who have arrived in the Smoky Mountains for the first time, especially the ones who are not aware of all the Smokies have to offer,” Fran comments. “It is a real joy to introduce these clients to my wonderful Wears Valley neighbors, to drive them to Metcalf Bottoms and watch their faces as they see the Little River from the wooden bridge, and to take them to any of our numerous and beautiful properties with long range views out over the Valley and into the Great Smoky Mountains National Park. The best part of my job is the transition of these new acquaintances into lifelong friends.”

Jerry Sandifer - Owner/ Affiliate Broker
Jerry also answered his call to the Smoky Mountains in 1999. Having visited East Tennessee all his life with his father, a World War II veteran, and his mother, a World War II bride, he already knew what a great place Wears Valley would be to live.
Several years ago Jerry, then a national sales representative, was tired of traveling the whole country and was ready to plant his roots in East Tennessee. He and his wife Catherine decided to make the move to their new home on Clabo Mountain Road. Since then his parents, Thomas and Zofia, have moved to Wears Valley from Mississippi and live in the old Clabo farmhouse.
Jerry is well known for his eagerness to find the perfect location and property for his clients' needs. His sales and marketing past and his passion for East Tennessee has created an unbeatable attitude in the real estate market.

David along with wife Fran and their five children first made East Tennessee home in 1999. Tired of the increasing taxes, crime, and uncertain weather of Florida, the Troxlers fell in love with the scenery and people of Wears Valley. And, as David likes to put it, "the rest is history." After two years, David built their permanent home below the cabin, and Dan and Linda Johnson of Chattanooga became their "second home" neighbor in the cabin above. Amanda became a "local" in 1998. She always knew that Wears Valley would be her home after vacationing here year after year with her husband and three sons.
